On Saturday, August 31, 2024, the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force participated in the Annual National Tree Planting Day activity.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Departments of Environment and Constituency Empowerment. The aim is to protect our environment and promote food security. National Tree Planting Day is part of the calendar of activities being held in commemoration of the St. Kitts and Nevis’ 41st Anniversary of Independence.
Major Kayode P Sutton and members of the Force planted over twenty (20) trees in the Bakers Point, Range area. The SKNDF wishes to do its part in protecting our environment and helping to reverse the effects of climate change that is affecting the region and the world.
