On July 2nd, 2024, the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force deployed a team led by Captain Troy Watson alongside WO2 Nigel Caines and SGT Keithley Boddie to be part of the Caribbean Disaster Relief Unit (CDRU). The SKNDF will be supported by a two (2) man team from the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
These troops embarked aboard the SVG motor vessel Mulzark where two hundred (200) tarpaulins and thirty-seven (37) cases of water from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was sent to assist the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines that felt the devastating impacts from the passing of Hurricane Beryl.
The SKNDF alongside NEMA plays a crucial role in humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and regional security, collaborating closely with organizations such as CDEMA through the RSS
