A team from the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force supported the 16th Annual Pink Walk of the Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation which started at Buckleys and ended at Frigate Bay on Saturday 26th October 2024.
The team was lead by Major Sutton, Acting Commander of the SKNDF. Major Sutton and the SKNDF strongly supports community initiatives such as these which seek to raise awareness of health conditions, promote a healthy lifestyle, and enrich the lives of our fellow citizens.
As we continue to raise awareness of Breast Cancer during this month, we urge all our women to do their Breast Self-Examination regularly, visit your doctor if you detect any abnormalities, and if you are forth(40) years and older, do your mammograms annually. We also appeal to the men of the Federation, as men can also get Breast Cancer.
Early detection increases your chance of beating this disease.
