The St Kitts Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) played a vital role in fostering patriotism among the youth of the nation on Friday, September 6, 2024. Sgt Elliott D visited Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School to educate students on the proper handling and respect of the national flag.

The fifth and sixth-grade students were privileged to learn from Sgt. Elliott about the significance of the national flag and its proper etiquette. The sergeant demonstrated the correct procedures for raising, securing, lowering, carrying, and folding the flag.
By teaching these essential skills, the SKNDF is not only promoting patriotism but also instilling a sense of pride and responsibility in the young generation. The school’s leadership, including Principal Mrs Emilita Warner-Paul and the teachers of Grade 5 and 6, demonstrated their commitment to fostering a patriotic environment by incorporating this valuable lesson into the curriculum.
