Major Kayode Sutton, the Commander (Ag) of the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force met with the daughter of the late Commander of the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force, Captain Errol Maynard to receive a few memorabilia and other items significant value to the history of then St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Defence Force (SKNADF)/ St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force that the late commander had collected and preserved over his career as a soldier.
Ms. Eleisa Maynard, one of the daughters of the late Captain Maynard handed over a number of historic items to Major Sutton, who graciously accepted on behalf of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force. Among the items were, musical recordings and band items, historical military books, training manuals and pamphlets, plaques, medals and photographs of the SKNDF.
The Commander, along with some of the Force, Staff Officers met and thanked Ms. Maynard for giving back to the SKNDF. The Major also assured Ms. Maynard the the items would be shared and made available to the members of the Force to learn from.
Capt Maynard made valuable contributions to the SKNDF during his lifetime and continues to do so even when he is no longer here with us. His memories and valued contributions continue to contribute to the development of the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force.
